Kylian Mbappe is one of the best and most promising young players in the world, and there is no surprise that Liverpool have been linked with the Paris Saint-Germain forward.
Le10 Sport recently reported that Liverpool are interested in signing Mbappe from PSG in the summer transfer window.
The report claimed that Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has been in touch with the France international forward’s father.
While it is hard to see PSG sell the 21-year-old forward anytime soon, Jason McAteer has actually said that the youngster would not fit into Liverpool’s style of play.
Goal.com quotes the former Liverpool midfielder as saying: “The Mbappe one for me doesn’t sit quite right – a superstar in his own right, [but] not the right time to come to Liverpool.
“[I’m] not sure he’s Jurgen’s kind of player. At the minute, just not for me. I’d rather see Werner or Sancho.
“We could see him [Mbappe] at Liverpool because he fits for different reasons, but for football, I just don’t know that he fits at this current time.”

Mbappe is arguably the most exciting young player in the world who would make any team better.
True, Liverpool have a very settled and well-functioning attacking unit, but the Frenchman would make the Reds so much better.
Capable of playing on either flank, cool and calm under pressure, blessed with blistering pace, ability to score goals at will and talent to dribble past players with ease, and physically very strong, Mbappe would no doubt be an asset for the Reds.
