Kylian Mbappe has sent an Instagram plea to Paris Saint-Germain starlet Adil Aouchiche, urging the Leeds United and Arsenal linked wonderkid to commit his long-term future to the Parc des Princes.
What were you doing when you were 16 years old? Whatever the answer is, we’re betting that this fresh-faced, floppy-haired Frenchman has a better response to that particular poser.
In the summer of 2019, a 16-year-old Aouchiche shattered a record that had been held by the legendary Michel Platini for almost four decades.
He scored a remarkable nine times in just seven games at the U17 European Championships, overtaking one of the greatest footballers of all time by netting the most goals ever seen at a UEFA international tournament.
Just a few months later, Aouchiche became the second-youngest player to score a goal in the famous blue and red kit of PSG.
But with his contract due to expire at the end of this month, the Ligue 1 champions are facing up to the prospect of seeing yet another potential future superstar slip through their grasp.
Aouchiche could follow Matteo Guendouzi to Arsenal, according to ESPN. Though the chance to hone his considerable talents under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United, via 90Min, should appeal too.

But Mbappe, a man who knows a thing or two about being a teenager in high demand, is doing his level best to convince Aouchiche to stick around.
“Sign the contract! I can offer you some more trainers,” quipped the World Cup winner, as translated by Goal.
It may take more than some sponsored footwear to convince Aouchiche to stick around, however.
As Kingsley Coman, Moussa Dembele, Odsonne Edouard, Mike Maignan, Jonathan Ikone and Boubakary Soumare will tell you, sometimes the grass is greener elsewhere.
