Hydration breaks remain one of the biggest debates at this World Cup.
The discussion does not seem to be fading early, with players, fans and coaches all weighing in.
Now Kylian Mbappe, one of the biggest soccer stars these days, has offered one of the boldest views on the subject.
Kylian Mbappe says players’ hydration break views should not decide debate

Mbappe believes players may not be the best people to shape the discussion around hydration breaks.
Speaking before France’s next World Cup match, the forward argued that soccer stars’ opinions can change depending on match conditions.
He told a journalist during the press conference (via Madrid Xtra): “You shouldn’t ask players for their opinion because our opinion changes a lot. If my team is dominating, it ruins the rhythm. If it’s hot, I’m happy. Everyone complains when there are new rules. We’ll have to see how it goes in the long run.”
That is such a strikingly honest answer from one of the sport’s most influential players.
France aim to move closer to knockout stage
France’s next test is against Iraq on Monday, June 22nd. They are coming off a win over Senegal, who they beat 3-1 in their Group I opener.
That result gave France an ideal start, with Mbappe scoring twice and Bradley Barcola also on target.
A win over Iraq at Philadelphia Stadium would secure France’s knockout stage spot.
It would also keep momentum building around Didier Deschamps’ side, who remain one of the tournament favourites.
