Kyle Walker posted on his Instagram story ‘good luck bro’ as Dele Alli left Tottenham for Everton.

On Tuesday evening, Alli posted an emotional message to Spurs supporters on Instagram after spending seven years at the club.

The England midfielder wrote ‘it’s the end of the chapter but not the book’, as he now looks to revive his career in Everton colours.

When Walker was in north London, he saw Alli come through as a young fresh-faced teenager from MK Dons and showcase that goalscoring touch.

It also included him banging 20 goals in one season from the middle of the park and proving to be one of the best youngsters in the world.

But, towards the end of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign in north London, Alli started stagnating and falling off the footballing cliff.

And, since then, it has become a lot worse for the attack-minded midfielder, who will be looking to revive his career at Everton.

The man who many likened him to as a young kid – Frank Lampard – will now ironically have the chance to see if he can return Alli to his old days.

There’s no doubt that Alli has time to pick himself up, but he will be well aware that if it goes wrong at Goodison, then another team in the Premier League might even look at him.

But that’s the fire and hunger the 2018 World Cup semi-finalist needs to use to get him back to his best because if he does, then he might just be on the plane to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
