Micah Richards has said on Sky Sports Premier League (1:24pm, October 3, 2021) that Kyle Walker has developed a lot at Manchester City following his departure from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Sky Sports pundit is a fan of Walker, who left Tottenham for City in the summer of 2017.
As reported by BBC Sport, the Citizens paid Tottenham an initial transfer fee of £45 million to secure the services of the England international right-back.
Richards, a former City right-back, believes that Walker was like a headless chicken when he was at Spurs, adding that he has improved a lot under manager Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
The Sky Sports pundit said about Walker: “I have seen improvement from when I was actually challenging him for the right-back spot.
“Then when he was at Spurs, he was at times a headless chicken. His game has developed so much.”

Harsh?
It is a bit harsh of Richards to say that Walker was a headless chicken at Tottenham when he was playing under Mauricio Pochettino.
Yes, the England international has become better under Guardiola and has won Premier League titles and reach a Champions League final.
But, we must not forget that Walker was a good player already at Spurs.
That’s why City signed him – because he was good.
Some would say that Walker was already a world-class player when he joined City.
Walker may be 31 now, but the England international remains at the top of his game and is showing no signs of slowing down.
