The Spurs defender has urged solidarity throughout the season.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker has urged his teammates to stick together as a team even when things do not go to plan this season, speaking to Sport magazine.
Spurs have enjoyed a fine start to the campaign and are the only team left undefeated so far in the Premier League after their impressive 2-0 win over Manchester City before the international break.
That form has sparked talk already that Mauricio Pochettino’s side may have it in them to go better than their third-placed finish last term and genuinely challenge for the title.
Their only setback so far has been the opening Champions League defeat against Monaco at Wembley, although they recovered well from that to win their next European game away at CSKA Moscow.
Speaking to Sport magazine, Walker has stressed that unity will be key for the North London side this season as they look to overcome any hurdles.
The England right-back said: “We fully deserve to be where we are, I think it’s just down to us as players to take responsibility on the pitch when things aren’t going well.
“We need to stick together. As the old saying goes, you win together and lose together. We dusted ourselves off and got back on with it.
“We analyse every game – win or lose – to see what we can do better and how we can control the game a lot more. The gaffer brought the video out a few days after, so we could study where we went wrong and what we could do better.”
Walker will be in action for England this week when the Three Lions take on Malta on Saturday and then Slovenia in their World Cup qualifying campaign,
After that, he will return to Spurs as they look to continue their fine form when they travel to West Bromwich Albion.
