Tottenham Hotspur play French side Monaco in their Champions League opener at Wembley Stadium.
Spurs defender Kyle Walker has been preparing for his side’s return to the Champions League on Wednesday in rather odd fashion.
It will be Tottenham’s first Champions League match since 2011 but instead of focusing purely on his football, England international has been putting his voice to the test in an attempt to create the iconic Champions League anthem.
As the North London club don’t have the rights to share Tony Britten’s official anthem, they asked the 26-year-old right-back to recreate the famous song – here is the result.
Fortunately Walker’s football skills aren’t as bad as his signing as the English man hopes to help his side get off to a positive start in their Champions League campaign.
Last time out Spurs reached the quarter-finals where they were beaten by European heavyweights Real Madrid but for now their main focus will be getting out of their group which includes Russian champions CSKA Moscow, German side Bayer Leverkusen and tonight’s opponents AS Monaco.
The match will kick-off at 7.45pm with record signing Moussa Sissoko expected to make his first start for the club despite concerns over his fitness.
