The Tottenham Hotspur talent was drafted into the England squad for the first time.

Harry Winks saw his form for Tottenham Hotspur rewarded with a first England call-up this week.
The 21-year-old midfielder was drafted into the squad by Gareth Southgate following injuries to Phil Jones and Fabian Delph.

Winks, who has only started one game for Tottenham in the Premier League this season, was training with his new Three Lions team-mates today as he looks to propel himself into contention against Lithuania and Slovakia.
Naturally, the youngster, who had only one cap for England Under-21 prior to his big promotion, was delighted with the news and Tottenham team-mate Kyle Walker-Peters has congratulated him on Twitter.

It has been a great last seven days for Winks, who also started Spurs’ 3-0 demolition of APOEL in the Champions League last Tuesday.
Lilywhites boss Mauricio Pochettino has previously described him as “the perfect midfielder” and the Tottenham talent will be eager to prove as much if Southgate rewards him further with game time in the World Cup qualifiers.
