Tottenham Hotspur have been mightily impressive so far this season.

During an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, Spurs full-back Kyle Walker explained how his side have changed for the better over this past year, highlighting last season’s win away at Manchester City as a key turning point in their evolution.

Tottenham currently sit second in the Premier League table, after reeling off six consecutive league wins, and are heavily fancied to make a sustained challenge for the title this term.

They are still seven points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, however, so will have to keep their winning run going, if they are to have any chance of catching the Blues.

And Walker discussed the challenge that lies in front of them, when speaking to TottenhamHotspur.com, highlighting last season’s win at the Etihad as evidence of how far they have come as a team:

“We’d not done too well there in recent years [Manchester City] but last season we got the win thanks to Christian’s goal and that’s where as a team, we’ve changed. We’re getting wins against the teams around us or worst-case scenario, picking up draws. Hopefully we can do that at City.”

If Mauricio Pochettino’s men do manage to come away from the Etihad with all three points, confidence levels really will be at an all-time high at the club.

And who would bet against them going on to win their first league crown since 1961.
