Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers were reliant on Alfredo Morelos saving them yesterday.

Morelos went into Rangers’ match with St. Johnstone with 17 goals to his name for the campaign.
And Lafferty was eager to help his teammate at Ibrox get to 20 goals before the end of the year.
The Rangers’ pair certainly proved a threat yesterday, as Morelos hit both goals in Steven Gerrard’s side’s 2-1 victory.
And Lafferty revealed: “I said to him before the game ‘You’ve got three games to get up to 20 goals’ and he scored two today so he has one left.
“But that’s what he does, he puts himself about and whenever he gets a chance he takes it and obviously he came up trumps today.”

Morelos left it late to ensure that he wrapped up the three points for Rangers.
Gerrard’s side had fallen behind against St. Johnstone, but Morelos struck twice in the second half to give Rangers the victory.
Gerrard was still seething with his side’s display after the match, but the three points were crucial to Rangers.
The Light Blues have kept the pressure on at the top of the table, and currently sit just one point behind Celtic.
