Kyle Lafferty re-joined Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers on Wednesday.

Kyle lafferty of Rangers celebrates winning over Celtic during the Co-operative Insurance Cup final between at Hampden Park on March 20, 2011 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Kyle Lafferty has told Rangers fans on Twitter that they’ll be seeing a better version of the player who left Ibrox in 2012.

The 30-year-old striker left Hearts to sign for Rangers on a two-year deal yesterday.

In doing so, Lafferty is set for a second spell with the Gers after his first ended in somewhat acrimonious circumstances six years ago.

But the Northern Ireland is a far more experienced and mature figure on and off the field now.

And Lafferty, who notched 37 goals in 137 outings for the club first time around, has told fans of the Glasgow giants that he’s coming back determined to help Rangers win their 55nd Scottish Premiership title.

The former Burnley marksman could make his second debut for Rangers in tonight’s Europa League clash with FC Ufa.

He is unlikely to start, after Alfredo Morelos netted a hat-trick last weekend, but he is surely now above Umar Sadiq in Steven Gerrard’s pecking order and it’ll be interesting to see if he comes off the bench in Glasgow tonight.
