Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic lost against Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.

Lafferty, a former Rangers player, has also claimed that Celtic struggle when opposition players get into their faces.
The 30-year-old Northern Ireland international made the comments following Hearts’ 4-0 win against the Hoops at home on Sunday afternoon.
The victory in the Scottish Premiership saw Hearts end Celtic’s 69-game unbeaten run in domestic football in Scotland.

Boyata and Simunovic were the two centre-backs during the match, and both of them failed to cope with the attacking threats of the home team.
Hearts deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter, and Lafferty, who was on the books of Celtic’s Old Firm rivals Rangers from 2008 until 2012 and joined his current club in the summer of 2017, has revealed that he always knew that he could get the better of the Hoops’ centre-backs Boyata and Simunovic.

Lafferty told The Scottish Sun: “We spoke the whole week about trying to put them under pressure from the first minute until the last – and that’s what we did.
“I think they struggle when players get into their faces. Celtic are a team who if you show respect, the result could have been 4-0 to them.”
“In the first game of the season, I didn’t really fancy them as two centre-halves,” added the Hearts forward.
“Obviously, they are great centre-halves, but I knew that when you are up against them and put them under pressure there are mistakes in them.”
