Darren Moore’s West Bromwich Albion won against Millwall in the Championship this past weekend, thanks to goals from Dwight Gayle and Kieran Gibbs.
The Baggies got the better of Millwall 2-0 at The Hawthorns in the Championship this past Saturday.
After a goalless first half, Darren Moore’s side took the lead through Newcastle United-owned striker Dwight Gayle midway through the second period.
Kieran Gibbs doubled the advantage for West Brom on 76 minutes, as the home team picked up all three points from the encounter.
Bartley – who joined West Brom from Swansea City in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £4 million – has thanked the fans for their patience.
“I thought they were excellent,” Bartley told The Express & Star. “It’s very easy to get frustrated with games like that and you don’t quite know where the goal is going to come from.
“But we had faith in the dressing room at half-time and we knew if we kept going, the chances would come and thanks for the fans for sticking with us.”
Aiming for promotion
West Brom are third in the Championship table at the moment with 17 points from nine points, just a point behind leaders Leeds United.
The Baggies will return to action this evening when they take on Premier League club Crystal Palace at The Hawthorns in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
