Leeds United currently sit in fifth position in the Championship table.
The Whites have enjoyed a fantastic first half of their Championship campaign, but Kyle Bartley highlighted the importance of his side matching their fine efforts of the first 23 games during the second half of the season, if they are to enjoy success this term, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
If Leeds were to match their points return from the first half of the season, they would end up with 82 points – a total that would have ensured a top-five finish in each of the last 19 Championship seasons, and would have even been enough to win the league on one of those occasions.

Bartley, who is currently on a season-long loan at Elland Road, after making the switch from Swansea City in the summer, discussed the importance of continuing their fine run of form, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post:
“It’s been a great start to the season but that’s what it is – just a start. We’re halfway in and this half won’t mean anything if we have a disappointing second half. We’ve spoken about that with the manager. It’s important from now on that we work harder and get even better results. It’s a long season.”

The West Yorkshire outfit travel to the Midlands to take on Aston Villa tonight, and a win will take them to third in the table, temporarily at least, with both Reading and Huddersfield Town not playing until tomorrow and New Year’s Eve respectively.
