Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been quoted a stupidly-high price for one target.

The Daily Star, has reported that Southampton want an eye-watering £35 million for midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is said to be on Spurs’ radar.

During this climate, that’s one hell of a valuation and Tottenham won’t be able to afford it.

It’s also a crazy figure because not only is Hojbjerg not a household name exactly, but he’s also contracted to the St Mary’s club until next summer.

So, demanding £35 million for a low-profile player with 12 months left on his contract is, frankly, ludicrous.

And Tottenham fans feel the same it seems. Here’s how they reacted to the Saints’ reported valuation of the Dane.

It looks like the Lilywhites might struggle in a huge way to spend money on anybody this summer.

That’s because the club took out a £175 million loan last week and with that in mind, it seems unlikely that Daniel Levy will sanctioning any big-money moves.
