Everton are still adjusting to life under manager Marco Silva.

Everton’s powerhouse defender Kurt Zouma insists that opponents will dread facing them due to the fact they can attack from all areas of the pitch.

The Toffees have made a below par start to the new campaign after a busy summer of spending and have picked up just six points from their opening six Premier League games.

There are a number of new signings still trying to settle with the Merseyside club, but loan addition Zouma has slotted in at centre-back in recent weeks.

Zouma, 23, insists that Everton can put fear into teams with their quality going forward, while also insisting they have strong options in defence.

“We have a lot of quality in the team. We can be dangerous and you can see people fear us because we can attack everywhere and defend well. We need to maintain that,” Zouma said, as quoted by the club’s official website.

Everton certainly haven’t been a team to be feared yet in the league and are someway short of Zouma’s assessment, but there are glimpses to suggest they could become the real deal.

Marco Silva’s side want to play an attacking style of football, which consists of plenty of possession and also a high work-rate.

They certainly have attack-minded full-backs that are great going forward in the shape of Leighton Baines, Lucas Digne, Seamus Coleman and Jonjoe Kenny.

Meanwhile, the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Richarlison and Theo Walcott are certainly talented individuals capable of causing a threat in the final third.

But perhaps the main issue is the forward position, where first-choice striker Cenk Tosun is yet to really fire consistently.
