Leeds United are still on course to sign Kun Temenuzhkov.
Leeds United are still on course to complete the signing of Kun Temenuzhkov from Barcelona.
The Bulgarian talent was spotted at Manchester City’s prestigious training ground today, posting pictures on his Instagram feed, leading to some confusion.
This led to rumours Manchester City may have moved to hijack the deal for the talented 17-year-old, as reported by City Watch.
It appears however that Temenuzkhov was at City’s state of the art training facility to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed switch to Leeds, according to Albert Roge, who write for Spanish newspaper SPORT.
His message reads: “They tell me that there are no changes and that Kun will sign for Leeds. He has gone to Manchester to pass the review. Official soon.”
Bulgarian news outlet Novsport reported last week that Temenuzkhov had signed with Leeds United.

Despite Novsport’s report that Temenuzkhov has signed with Leeds, he is yet to be pictured putting pen to paper on a contract, unlike fellow under-23 new boys Ousama Siddiki and Alejandro Machuca.
In both cases it took a few days between the initial announcement and the players signing their contracts.
The reason for the Bulgarian undergoing the medical at City’s training base ahead of Leeds is unclear.
City chief executive Ferran Soriano was previously Barcelona’s vice-president, and Leeds themselves now have a strong Spanish connection with director Ivan Bravo overseeing the improvement of the club’s academy.
It appears Temenuzhkov’s move to Leeds is still going ahead and an announcement could soon be on the way.
