Leeds talent encouraged despite loss.

Leeds United’s young talents slipped to an agonising defeat in the FA Youth Cup last night.
The Whites last won the trophy back in 1997 and had hoped to get a run going in this year’s competition.
The talented young side were beaten 1-0 by Burnley at Turf Moor after conceding a late goal in a game in which they had controlled throughout.
The Whites’ effective passing game did not translate itself into goals, with the team taught a hard lesson.

Summer signing Kun Temenuzhkov, who joined from Barcelona, was among the starters for Leeds and was optimistic despite the loss.
He wrote: “Hard defeat that leaves us out of the FA Youth Cup, but very happy as this team works every day, we must continue.”
The Bulgarian has featured for both Leeds under-23s and under-18s this season, and still has plenty of work to do before he is ready for first team football.
There were positive signs last night in the style of football Leeds were trying to play, and the performance if not the result gives them something to build on.
