Tim Krul started his first game for Newcastle United 10 years ago.
Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul has told fans that they can still expect to see a lot more of him as he celebrates the 10 year anniversary of his famous debut for the Magpies.
The Dutch stopper, currently on loan at Ajax for the season, made his first ever competitive start on 2 November 2006 in a UEFA Cup game against Palermo.

At just 18-years-old, Krul kept a clean sheet after a remarkable first ever 90 minutes in professional football, helping Newcastle beat the Italian side 1-0 to go top of their group.
The Netherlands international celebrated the anniversary on Twitter, and sent a message to supporters.
Krul left St James’ Park in the summer, returning to his native country for a loan spell at Ajax, as well as signing a new deal on Tyneside to ensure he did not leave the club on a free at the end of the season.

Having missed most of last season with an injury and Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow performing so well in his absence, it seemed as though Krul would be one of those to leave the club permanently over the summer, but a loan move meant his career in the North East might not be over.
The 28-year-old says there is “a lot more still to come”, but did not state whether that will be for Newcastle or elsewhere.
