Football.London journalist Kaya Kaynak has told GiveMeSport that the Kroenkes will back Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in his pursuit of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.
Kaynak has said that Rice will cost between £80 million and £100 million, and that Arsenal owners, the Kroenkes, are willing to get a deal done for that amount.
According to The Daily Mail, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are determined to sign Rice from London and Premier League rivals West Ham in the summer of 2023 and could prioritise him over fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo of Brighton and Hove Albion.
TalkSPORT journalist and presenter Jim White has said that West Ham want as much as £120 million plus add-ons for the midfielder, described as “a world-class player” by former Arsenal and Hammers striker Ian Wright on Premier League Productions last month.
White said on talkSPORT that Manchester United had a bid of £100 million for the England international midfielder turned down in the summer of 2023.

The former Sky Sports presenter has claimed that Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all want to sign the 24-year-old in the summer of 2023.
Kroenkes willing to sign Declan Rice for Arsenal
Kaynak wrote: “What I think they are willing to do is fund Arsenal in terms of them improving the squad.
“We’ve seen this with the Declan Rice move because it’s likely that he’ll cost between £80million and £100million, potentially more. The Kroenkes are willing to back Mikel Arteta for that.”
