Kristoffer Ajer has said at a press conference that he wants to stay at Celtic for a long time and become a legend at Parkhead.
Ajer has joined up with his Celtic teammates for the first time over pre-season, after agreeing to move to the Glasgow club in February.
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the finest, young talents in Scotland – but any fears that he is using Celtic as a stepping stone for his career should have been put to bed after his recent comments.
Ajer was brought to Celtic by Brendan Rodgers’ predecessor Ronny Deila, after his talent was spotted playing in Norway.
The rangy midfielder impressed with his performances for FC Start in his homeland in the Tippeligaen.
Ajer arrives at Celtic with over 50 senior appearances under his belt, but it unknown whether he will be part of Brendan Rodgers’ first-team plans.
Rodgers has suggested that he will be willing to give youngsters a chance in Celtic’s first team, but he does already have plenty of midfield options.
Celtic’s season gets underway with a Champions League qualification match midway through next month.
