Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer feels the current dressing room at the club is the best he’s ever been apart of, The Scottish Sun report.

The young Norwegian has emerged as one of the most selected players in Neil Lennon’s start eleven, growing in confidence as a player and a person over the last 12 months.

As he becomes ever more influential, he’s hailed the current group of players as a supportive and positive bunch, even if mistakes have been made in matches.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, he said: “Everyone has been made to feel that they are included and that makes for a healthy environment.

“You need to have different characters to create a good atmosphere.

“You also need leaders like our captain. Scott Brown has been fantastic and there are so many other Scottish players and a few foreigners who know what it means to play for this massive club.

“Everyone wants to do better and everyone will raise their hand when they understand they haven’t done well enough. But also, nobody will come after you in the dressing room. There will never be that.”

Lennon’s influence?

Some Celtic players have already made high profile errors this season, including Ajer, but if they feel those can be learned from, rather than internally blamed on individuals, it will go a long way.

That Ajer singles out this particular dressing room as the best of his career is notable considering he worked under Brendan Rodgers for years previously.

He clearly feels there’s added camaraderie and positive feeling since Lennon arrived for his second spell.

It’s noted that the Hoops boss is a great man manager and fostering that positive atmosphere certainly has his team on the right track this season.

Unbeaten in domestic action and showing promise in Europe, the team are currently well placed to replicate the success they’ve enjoyed so much in recent years.
