Pundit comments on Rangers chances against Villarreal.

Rangers head to Spain for their first Europa League group stage game away to Villarreal.
Villarreal have had a slow start domestically, winning only one game and sitting in 13th in La Liga.
Former Celtic midfielder Commons believes Rangers will find the match a big step up and must be able to come away with their heads held high.

He said: “This is all about a learning experience for Steven Gerrard’s side.
“It’s important that Rangers just do as well as they can in a difficult environment. In the same way as Dundee were embarrassed at Ibrox, the main thing Rangers need to avoid in Spain is the same thing happening to them.
“Firstly, they have to compete. If they do that, they’ll give themselves a chance.”
Rangers won 4-0 at the weekend, restoring their confidence after a 1-0 away loss to Celtic before the international break.
They have performed strongly in the Europa League this season, and edged past Russian side FC Ufa in the last qualifying round.
Commons is right that Villarreal are a step up, but Rangers can’t go into the game with a negative mindset and aiming simply to avoid embarrassment.
