Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are already five points adrift of defending champions Celtic in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Kris Commons, writing in The Daily Mail, has claimed that Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha must be “delusional” to believe that the Gers boast a better squad than Celtic.
Boos rang around Ibrox on Saturday as Rangers dropped more points by drawing 0-0 with Hearts.
Caixinha’s side, who lost 3-2 to Hibernian 11 days ago, are now five points behind Celtic, who it seems will be very hard to catch.

The Portuguese manager made headlines earlier this month by claiming that Rangers had the best squad in Scotland, but so far the playing staff have betrayed their boss’s claims.
“One thing Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has insisted, from the first moment he climbed into the Ibrox hotseat, is that he feels he has the best squad in Scotland. He confidently predicted his current charges could keep pace with Celtic,” he wrote in The Daily Mail.
“Pedro’s boasts are delusional. The simple fact is Rangers can’t keep pace and they certainly haven’t got the best squad in the Premiership. The current run of results only goes to back this up.”

It takes a serious imagination to consider the Ibrox club challenging Rodgers and co this season.
Truth is, there is so much pressure on Caixinha now and it’s not hard to imagine their results getting worse, which would further make a mockery of the 46-year-old’s previous claims.
