Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers lost the Old Firm derby this past weekend.
Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor
McGregor featured for Rangers in their Scottish Premiership game against Celtic away from home at Celtic Park this past Sunday afternoon.
The 36-year-old Scotland international goalkeeper, who returned to Rangers in the summer transfer window on a free after leaving Hull City at the end of last season, made a number of saves for the Gers.
The former Besiktas goalkeeper was arguably Rangers’ best player in the Old Firm derby, which Celtic won 1-0, and 35-year-old Commons was impressed.
Commons said about McGregor on Sky Sports Football this past Sunday afternoon (2:08pm, September 2, 2018): “He really really did have a top game today. He will probably feel a little bit unjust that he comes away with nothing.”

Quality footballer
McGregor has been superb for Rangers since returning to the Ibrox club in the summer transfer window.
The veteran has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for Rangers under manager Steven Gerrard.
For Rangers to have a successful season in 2018-19, McGregor has to be on top of his game throughout the campaign.
