Kris Commons was impressed with Celtic star Kieran Tierney’s performance for Scotland against the Netherlands.

Kris Commons has praised Celtic defender Kieran Tierney in The Daily Mail.
The former Nottingham Forest and Derby County attacking midfielder was impressed with the performance of Tierney for Scotland against the Netherlands last week.
The 20-year-old defender is a left-back by trade, but the Celtic star featured as a centre-back against the Dutch.
Former Celtic and Scotland international star Commons has spoken highly of Tierney, who is one of the best young players in Europe.

“It seems like nothing can stop the progress of Kieran Tierney,” Commons wrote in The Daily Mail. “For me, his performance at centre-back was the one thing to come out of Scotland’s friendly against Holland.
“He looked comfortable. As he always does. The past month or so has seen him sign a six-year deal with Celtic, captain both club and country, be tipped to win 100 caps, and end up linked with all manner of clubs. Not bad for a 20-year-old. He is remarkable.”

Tierney is one of the best and most promising young left-backs in Europe, and the 20-year-old can only get better.
Celtic have a gem on their books, and it will be interesting to see how long they can keep hold of him.
The left-back signed a new contract with the Glasgow giants and it is unlikely that the Hoops will entertain any bids for him in the January transfer window, but could things change next summer?
