Kris Commons can’t see Brendan Rodgers quitting Celtic before 10 in a row is achieved.
Kris Commons has told BBC Sportscene that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will be hanging around until he delivers the Hoops’ much-sought after 10 in a row.
Paul Clement’s sacking has opened the door for the Celtic boss to return to Swansea City, if they were still interested.
Wales Online reported earlier this month that the Swans had already “sounded out” the Northern Irishman over a return to The Liberty Stadium, but Rodgers, who confirmed the contact, revealed that he had no intention of taking the job.
Asked on BBC Sportscene whether Clement’s departure could interest the Hoops manager, Celtic legend Commons said: “No. He’ll be here for ten in a row.”
Celtic went through the 2016-17 Premiership campaign unbeaten as the former Liverpool boss won the club’s sixth successive league title.
By virtue of their 3-0 thumping of second-placed Aberdeen on Saturday, you could argue that Rodgers’s side are still streets ahead of anyone in Scotland at the moment and only something very special from Rangers or the Dons will prevent Celtic from winning another four on the trot.
