Kris Commons said on talkSPORT (10:36am, November 27, 2020) that Celtic should not sack Neil Lennon as the manager.

The former Celtic star believes that the Scottish Premiership club’s board should keep their faith in Lennon.

The Hoops suffered a heavy defeat to Sparta Prague away from home in the Europa League on Thursday evening and are out of the competition.

The Bhoys are also 11 points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment, although Steven Gerrard’s side have played two more games.

Commons said on talkSPORT (10:36am, November 27, 2020): “I think they have got to stick with Neil Lennon. I have been in a dressing room with Neil Lennon as a manager, as a player. He is a natural leader, a born winner, and he knows Celtic inside out.”

Neil Lennon’s Celtic future

Things are not going well for Celtic at the moment, and one can understand why Lennon is under pressure.

However, it must be noted what Lennon has done and won for the Hoops, both as a player and as a manager.

Another point that must be noted is that it could be hard for Celtic to find a suitable replacement who would be able to make an immediate impact in such a big season where the Glasgow giants are aiming to win the league title for the 10th time in a row.
