Kris Commons is scheduled to return to Celtic following a loan spell at Hibernian.
Celtic attacking midfielder Kris Commons has suggested to The Scotsman that he wants to remain at Hibernian until the end of the season.
Commons joined Scottish Championship club Hibernian on an emergency loan deal from Scottish Premiership outfit Celtic in December.
The 33-year-old’s loan deal at Hibs runs out today, and the Scotsman has suggested that he would like to remain at Easter Road.

“Obviously going for championships and winning trophies appeals to me,” Commons told The Scotsman. “If Hibs could get promotion it would be a big thing for the Premiership and for Edinburgh. If I could be part of that it would be great not only for [Hibs’ manager] Neil [Lennon] but myself.”

Commons is a very good creative midfielder and he has done well at Hibernian, and it would make sense for him to remain at the Scottish Championship club until the end of the season.
Celtic are doing well without the former Nottingham Forest and Derby County attacking midfielder, who would find it tough to get playing time at Celtic Park in the second half of the season.
Hibs are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 45 points from 21 matches.
Neil Lennon’s side are six points clear of second-placed Dundee United and are favourites to win the title and gain automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership at the end of the season.
