Should Celtic return for Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis next summer?

The 34-year-old former Celtic attacking midfielder has disclosed that there were whispers around Celtic Park that the Glasgow giants were looking at the 29-year-old.
“There were whispers around Celtic Park that we were actually looking at him last season,” Commons is quoted as saying by The Scottish Sun about Lewis. “He’d certainly acquired the attention of our scouts and the people in at Celtic.”

Lewis is one of the best goalkeepers in the Scottish Premiership and has been in good form for Aberdeen this season.
As reported by BBC Sport, the former England Under-21 international signed a new contract with Aberdeen and will remain at the club until 2020.
Craig Gordon is the first-choice goalkeeper at Celtic at the moment, but the 34-year-old Scotland international has made mistakes from time to time this season.

Despite Lewis, 29, having signed a new deal in the summer transfer window, Celtic should renew their interest next summer.
Signing the former Peterborough United goalkeeper in the January transfer window may not be possible, as Aberdeen are aiming to finish second in the Scottish Premiership and would not be willing to part company with a key figure.
However, it would be wise of Celtic to try to bring Lewis to Celtic Park next summer.
