Glasgow Rangers won away from Ibrox for the first time in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Rangers picked up their first away win in the league this season, but it took a remarkable spell late on for Steven Gerrard’s men to take the three points, with James Tavernier scoring twice from the penalty spot before Alfredo Morelos rounded off the victory with a well-taken finish from the edge of the box.
Those three goals came just after Hamilton had cancelled out Ryan Kent’s opener for the visitors. Steven Boyd’s stunning strike appeared to wake Rangers up with 10 minutes remaining.
It had a positive impact on the Gers, but Rossiter may well be unhappy with how easily Boyd seemed to go past him before sending the ball into the top corner. And after the game, Commons hinted that his substitution two minutes later may have largely been down to the goal.

“Rossiter, for me, he does nothing here. He kind of loses his footing. It was no coincidence, I think, that just a couple of minutes after that goal went in, he ended up getting substituted,” he told Sky Sports.
While Rossiter should have done better for the goal, he will arguably be delighted with the win and his contribution given how difficult a spell he has endured since arriving at Ibrox.

Given his injury record, it appeared to be a huge gamble from Gerrard to hand Rossiter a start on the artificial surface at Accies. But he got through, and generally impressed over, 82 minutes and will be hoping that it is the first league start of many this season.
He should have done better for the goal, but undoubtedly has the quality to make up for that mistake over the coming weeks if he can stay fit.
