Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have been linked with Celtic forward Leigh Griffiths.

Commons linked up with Cummings at Hibernian last season, and knows the newest recruit at Ibrox well.
And the former Celtic midfielder feels that Rangers have signed a player who can be compared with Griffiths.
“Jason seems like Leigh Griffiths, pictured, was like eight or nine years ago in that you’re never quite sure what you’re going to get from him,” Commons said.
“It’s only because of the work Brendan Rodgers has done with Leigh that has propelled him to be No 9 for Celtic and Scotland.

“So Jason just needs a bit of guidance on his best position and on his attributes and to work on his weaknesses to make him a better player.”
Rangers have initially taken Cummings on loan from Nottingham Forest for the season, but the transfer could be made permanent in the summer.
If Cummings can score as prolifically for Rangers as Griffiths has for Celtic then he will be a great addition to Graeme Murty’s squad.

Rangers have looked to improve their forward options this month, as they have been very reliant on Alfredo Morelos for goals so far.
Morelos has chipped in with 10 strikes in 20 Scottish Premiership matches so far, but he now faces more competition for his place.
Cummings could make his Rangers debut when Murty’s side take on Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup.
