Rangers have reportedly had a second bid rejected for the Hearts striker.

Kris Commons has urged Rangers to sign Kyle Lafferty from Hearts on Sky Sports after the club reportedly had a second bid rejected for the Northern Ireland international.
The Express claim Rangers tabled a player-plus-cash offer for 30-year-old Lafferty, which included defender Lee Wallace. However, that has been rejected by Craig Levein’s side, who also knocked back a £200,000 bid.
It is believed that Hearts value Lafferty at around £750,000, with his price only going to increase after he scored the winner in surprise 1-0 win at Tynecastle against Hearts on Saturday afternoon.
Rangers boast both Alfredo Morelos and Umar Sadiq up front, but with Steven Gerrard closing in on the Europa League group stage, having three strikers could be crucial. Commons believes Lafferty would be an excellent coup.
“It will give them a different dimension,” Commons said. “There’s too much emphasis on Morelos, he’s still a young boy. He plays up front on his own. I think Lafferty, with his height, his experience, it gives Rangers a different dynamic.
“But if Hearts can keep him, he will be pivotal to how well Hearts do this season.”

Joining Rangers from Burnley in the summer of 2008, Lafferty spent four years at Ibrox before leaving to join Swiss side FC Sion after the financial collapse that saw the Gers start again in the fourth tier.
The 67-cap has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal and that could see Rangers move to sign the target man before the end of the transfer window, on August 31.
