Rangers finally managed to beat Celtic on Saturday at Ibrox.

Kris Boyd has mocked Celtic on Instagram after Rangers earned their first win over the Hoops since returning to the top tier of Scottish football in 2016 – in their 13th attempt.
Steven Gerrard’s side were on the front foot from the off, with Daniel Candeias and Connor Goldson seeing efforts denied superbly by Craig Gordon. But it was midfielder Ryan Jack who eventually broke the deadlock.
Ryan Kent’s return was perfect timing for Rangers and his excellent run saw him set up Jack, who found the back of the net via a deflection off of Celtic captain Scott Brown.
Former Rangers striker Boyd, who is renowned for his ability to wind up opposition fans, teased Celtic on Instagram after Rangers’ win, claiming Celtic fans had lost the ability to go onto social media after the match.
Callum McGregor had a goal chalked off for offside in the second half, while Rangers also hit the post. The win sees the Teddy Bears push themselves into a title race with Celtic, rather than fading away.
If they had lost the match, Celtic would have been six points clear with a game in hand at the top. But the narrow 1-0 victory means Rangers are on level points going into the winter break.
Rangers return to action on January 19 in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup against Cowdenbeath, before returning to league action four days later with a difficult trip to Rugby Park to take on Steve Clarke’s Kilmarnock.
