Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers will face Neil Lennon’s Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday.
Jermain Defoe of Rangers
Rangers will take on Celtic at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
Morelos is fit and available for the match, and so is his Rangers teammate and fellow striker Defoe.
Former Rangers striker Boyd, now on the books of Kilmarnock, believes that Gers manager Gerrard should keep Defoe in the starting lineup and not replace him with Morelos in the lineup against Celtic.
Boyd said on the SPFL Matters show on Sky Sports Football on Friday evening (6pm, May 10, 2019) when asked if Morelos should start against Celtic: “No, for me, I think they stay with Jermain Defoe. I think he has been excellent.”

Keeping Jermain Defoe in the team
Defoe has been playing well for Rangers in recent weeks, and the former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United striker has not made Rangers feel Morelos’s absence due to suspension.
The Englishman is in good form, and it will make sense for Rangers manager Gerrard to include the 36-year-old striker – on loan from Bournemouth – in the starting lineup against Celtic.
