Kris Boyd was a pundit during Celtic’s win over Glasgow Rangers at Ibrox.

Kris Boyd has written in The Scottish Sun that he received a ‘prickly’ text from Brendan Rodgers after Celtic’s win over Rangers on Sunday.
The Hoops beat their Old Firm rivals 2-0 at Ibrox this past weekend to make a mockery of the Gers’ pre-match labels as favourites.
The former Rangers hitman was working as a pundit on Sky Sports during the game and remarked that Neil Lennon – who replaced Rodgers as Celtic boss in February – didn’t need a ‘tippy-tappy’ style to win, in reference to the Leicester City manager’s philosophy on the game.
Boyd wrote in The Scottish Sun: “Brendan Rodgers sees himself as a beautiful human being. But going by the tetchy text message he sent me on Sunday night, he’s not half a prickly one.
“First thing’s first: it’s good to know Mr Buzzword still has his Sky subscription and is keeping up with Scottish football from his living room.
“I’ll not reveal everything the bold Brendan messaged me because I don’t think that would be fair. But let’s just say he didn’t take too kindly to my critique on Celtic that pointed out how Neil Lennon’s team didn’t need to play tippy-tappy football to beat Rangers.”
Rangers, who won the last two derbies at Ibrox, were widely expected to make it a third home win over Celtic on the bounce.
But a number of Steven Gerrard’s best players struggled in a big way and it was a relatively straight forward win for the Bhoys eventually.

Boyd added that he felt the hosts ‘choked’ on the big stage and questioned Gerrard’s decision to start Jermain Defoe over red-hot Alfredo Morelos.
He added: “For me, Gerrard’s team choked but he’s got to take a lot of the responsibility for the way the team was set up — and in fairness it sounds like he has done.”
Rodgers left Celtic in February to take the Leicester job.
