Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers are currently second in the Scottish Premiership table.
Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd has suggested in The Scottish Sun that Rangers should hand Kenny Miller a new contract.
Miller has been on the books of Rangers since the summer of 2014 and has a contract with the Gers until the end of the season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
This is the Scottish striker’s third spell at the Gers, having also played for Old Firm rivals Celtic in 2006-07.
Former Rangers striker Boyd, now on the books of Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock, believes that the Ibrox outfit should hand a new deal to Miller.

“Rangers can’t get enough players who know what’s required to play for Rangers,” Boyd wrote in The Scottish Sun. “Which is why they shouldn’t think twice about giving a new contract to Kenny Miller.
“Forget the fact he’s 37 and in the latter stages of his career. Age is irrelevant when you look at what he’s been bringing to the team on the pitch throughout this season.
“From what I’ve seen Kenny has arguably been Mark Warburton’s best player. But, trust me, it’s off the pitch that I know for a fact my former team-mate will be worth his weight in gold.”

Miller is a very good and experienced striker, and he remains a key player for Mark Warburton’s side.
The former Celtic striker is playing well for Rangers this season, and it should not come as a surprise if the Gers offer him a new deal.
Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 39 points from 21 matches. The Gers are 19 points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand.
