Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers have suspended Ibrox duo Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace.

Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd has suggested in The Scottish Sun that Lee Wallace has a future at Rangers.

According to The Daily Record, Rangers have made Wallace available for transfer in the summer following his bust-up with manager Graeme Murty in the wake of the 4-0 defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic at Hampden Park in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup last weekend.

Boyd, though, believes that the 30-year-old left-back has a future at Rangers, as he has one more year left on his contract.

The 34-year-old Scottish striker, who had two separate spells at Ibrox, has suggested that Kenny Miller’s career at Rangers is over.

The former Celtic striker, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has also been suspended by the Gers for the bust-up with Murty.

Boyd has further revealed what he has heard about Rangers’ training sessions.

“Whatever way you look at it, Kenny is now finished at Rangers — he’s never going to score at Ibrox again,” Boyd wrote in The Scottish Sun. “Well, not for Rangers at least. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Wallace DID return next season.

“I can see Miller being shown the door because his contract expires at the end of the season but Wallace could be back involved by pre-season. The new manager who comes in could yet decide he wants him.”

Boyd added: “I’ve also heard how other players have quite blatantly told Murty where to go during training sessions.

“Others have apparently turned up late for team meetings without any action being taken.”

Future uncertain?

It is hard to see Miller remain at Rangers next season, but Wallace could certainly be part of the Gers’ first team for the 2018-19 campaign.

After all, the 30-year-old Scotland international left-back is an important player for the Glasgow giants and is one of the best players in his position in the Scottish Premiership.
