Graeme Murty is the Glasgow Rangers manager at the moment, and former Ibrox striker Kris Boyd believes that he will leave the Gers.
Murty is in charge of Rangers at the moment and will remain the manger of the first team until the end of the season at least.
The 43-year-old former Reading defender was appointed as the Gers’ manager in October 2017 following the departure of Pedro Caixinha.
Recent results and performances, especially against Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Cup and the Scottish Premiership, have been disappointing.
Kilmarnock striker Boyd, who had two separate spells at Rangers, believes that Murty will leave the Gers at the end of the season.
Boyd said on Sky Sports Football this past Sunday afternoon (12:06pm, April 22, 2018) in the build-up to the Scottish Premiership game between Rangers and Heart of Midlothian at Ibrox: “For me, after this season finishes, Graeme Murty will leave Rangers and will go seek somewhere else.”
Exit inevitable?
Murty has not done badly at Rangers, especially given the circumstances under which he was drafted into the role.
This is also Murty’s first role as the first-team manager of a club, and he should be allowed time and patience.
With the Gers yet to make a decision on who the manager of Rangers will be next season, they should certainly consider the 43-year-old as a genuine candidate.
