The Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, has already agreed a deal to bring the winger to Ibrox.

The former Rangers striker, Kris Boyd, has refused to disclose what was said by Jordan Jones after the winger scored the winning goal against his future employers on Wednesday.
Steven Gerrard’s side have already agreed a pre-contract deal with Jones, who becomes a Rangers player on July 1.
But if the Ibrox side expected him to go easy on them they were badly mistaken, with his 66th-minute strike ensuring all three points for Kilmarnock, who leapfrogged their opponents into second place.
Asked for Jones’ reaction upon returning to the dressing room, however, his Killie teammate Boyd told Talksport: “(That) stays in the dressing room!
“Jordan has been magnificent. He’s earned himself a move. There was that little bit of stupidity when he sent out that tweet [which angered many Kilmarnock supporters] but I think you’ve got to take everything into context, you know.
“Jordan Jones was told two-and-a-half-years ago that he wouldn’t have a career in professional football when he was released from Middlesbrough. He came up to Scotland, he’s done really, really well – Lee Clark brought him up here, gave him an opportunity – but he’s not looked back since, and I think that Steve Clarke now has put that onus on him to go and win us games and create opportunities for the strikers.

“As a striker with Jordan playing, he will create chances. The only wee criticism you might have is when you look at the amount of goals he has scored for us. Maybe he’d want more.
“But if he continues to perform at the level he’s been performing at chip in with the goals, you know, Rangers will get a fantastic player.
“As I said, for us he has been magnificent, inside the dressing room, on the pitch, and hopefully that continues between now until the end of the season.”

Rangers have also agreed a pre-contract deal to sign the Dundee midfielder, Glen Kamara, who reports claim could arrive at Ibrox as soon as this month.
Jones, however, is expected to remain at Rugby Park for the remainder of his contract there.
