Boyd, who had two separate spells at Rangers, was not impressed with the performance of Morelos for Steven Gerrard’s side against Hamilton Academical away from home at New Douglas Park in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
The 22-year-old Colombia international striker played well for Rangers and scored in the fourth minute of injury time, as the Gers won 4-1.
The youngster has scored four goals and provided five assists in nine Scottish Premiership appearances for Rangers so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
Morelos has scored four goals in two League Cup ties and two in one Europa League appearance for Rangers so far this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Former Rangers striker Boyd, now at Kilmarnock, was impressed with the performance of Morelos against Hamilton, and he has also suggested that the Ibrox striker has proved him wrong.
Boyd said about Morelos on Sky Sports Football on Sunday afternoon (3:37pm, October 21, 2018): “I think he huffed and puffed in terms of in front of goal, but he doesn’t go away. His link-up play was good today, his work-rate can’t be faulted.
“I would be the first to admit I was very critical at the start because I thought there were a lot of things that he could do better.”
