Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd has revealed his dismay over the state of his old side following their 2-0 Betfred Cup semi-final loss to Motherwell on Sunday afternoon.
Pedro Caixinha’s side were knocked out of the competition by Stephen Robinson’s Motherwell at Hampden Park thanks to a well-taken brace from striker Louis Moult.

The defeat leaves Rangers with only the Scottish Premiership to focus on for now, after already being knocked out of the Europa League qualifying stages at the start of the season.
Kilmarnock striker Boyd, 34, told BBC’s Sportscene that he was shocked to see the 54-time Scottish champions roll over without putting up much of a fight.
“I’ve never seen a Rangers team bullied the way they were bullied [on Sunday] – good or bad,” Boyd declared. “There’s one thing about a Rangers team, they would always stand up to the fight. That’s just not Rangers.”

The defeat to The Well has seen Rangers miss out on the chance to face Old Firm rivals Celtic in the final of the Betfred Cup, after Brendan Rodgers side saw off the challenge of Neil Lennon’s Hibernian with a 4-2 win.
Rangers are next in action on Wednesday evening as they play host to Boyd’s Kilmarnock at Ibrox, and Caixinha will be hoping to close the gap between Rangers and Celtic to just three points with their sixth league win of the season.
