Glasgow Rangers defender Nikola Katic was in action for Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club on Sunday.

Boyd, who had two separate spells at Rangers, was not impressed with the performance of Katic for Steven Gerrard’s side against Hamilton Academical away from home at New Douglas Park in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
The 22-year-old Croatia international defender started the match for Rangers and played for 79 minutes, as the Gers won 4-1.
Former Kilmarnock striker Boyd was not impressed with the performance produced by Katic, who joined Rangers from Slaven Belupo in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £2 million.
Boyd said about Katic on Sky Sports Football on Sunday afternoon (3:33pm, October 21, 2018): “I thought right from the first whistle he was all over the place.
“When he first came to Rangers, I thought he was a promising youngster that he (manager Steven Gerrard) could work with, but when you see Joe Worrall come in in the last few weeks, Rangers looked a lot more assured at the back.”

The 4-1 win against Hamilton on Sunday afternoon means that Rangers are now fifth in the Scottish Premiership table with 17 points from nine matches, five points behind leaders Heart of Midlothian.
