Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers signed Joe Garner from Preston North End in the summer transfer window.
Kris Boyd has suggested in The Scottish Sun that Rangers should not have signed Joe Garner in the summer transfer window.
Rangers brought in Garner from English club Preston North End in the summer of 2016.
According to talkSPORT, the Scottish Premiership outfit had to pay Preston a transfer fee of £1.5 million in order to secure the services of the 28-year-old striker.
Much was expected of the 28-year-old striker, but the former England Under-19 international has failed to do much of note at Ibrox so far.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, Garner has scored only three goals in 19 appearances for Rangers.

Former Rangers striker Boyd, now at Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock, has criticised the performances of Garner so far this season.
“Joe Garner is another signing people will point to,” the 33-year-old wrote in The Scottish Sun. “At £1.5m, he should be scoring 20 to 25 goals for Rangers — and that won’t happen.
“He needs to be in the box more but I’ve seen enough to know he will score goals, given the right service.”
According to The Scottish Sun, Garner could be out for three months due to a dislocated shoulder.
The striker suffered the injury during the 2-1 defeat to Celtic at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 39 points from 21 matches, 19 points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand.
