Celtic midfielder Scott Brown is reportedly wanted by Western Melbourne.
Brown has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million.
The 33-year-old former Scotland international midfielder is out of contract at the Hoops at the end of the season and has been linked with a move away from the Glasgow giants.
According to The Daily Mail, Australian side Western Melbourne are prepared to secure the services of Brown.
Former Rangers striker Boyd, who is now on the books of Kilmarnock, does not see Brown leaving Celtic, and has predicted that the midfielder will put pen to paper on a new deal.
Boyd wrote in The Scottish Sun: “Scott Brown will soon sign a new deal that will make him a Celt for life. Trust me, Broony is going nowhere.
“Sure, he will have offers from the United States, Australia and perhaps even England. But no matter how life-changing and eye-watering they may be, he will reject them all.”
Celtic stay
Brown is one of the best players in Celtic’s history and has won a number of major silverware during his time at the Hoops so far, including the league title eight times.
The Scottish midfielder is still going strong, and it would make sense for Celtic to keep hold of him for one more season at least.
