Jones is joining Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers on a free transfer this summer.
The 24-year-old winger, who will move to the Gers after leaving Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock, had already agreed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers.
Former Rangers striker Boyd is a teammate of Jones at Kilmarnock, and the 35-year-old has suggested that the winger needs to add goals to his game and should also provide more assists.
Boyd said about Jones on the SPFL Matters show on Sky Sports Football (10:15pm, May 17, 2019): “If there’s one criticism you can aim at Jordan, it would be he needs to score more goals and assist more. He will know that. He is a talented kid.”

Good signing for Rangers?
Jones is a very good winger who has been playing well for Kilmarnock for a while now.
The former Middlesbrough prospect is very creative and is not afraid to take on defenders, and he could become an even better player if he scores goals on a regular basis and creates more chances that he does.
According to WhoScored, the Northern Ireland international winger made 26 starts and three substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Kilmarnock this season, scoring four goals in the process.
