Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Jake Hastie, and so do Celtic among other clubs.

Jake Hastie is one of the best young players in Scotland, and there is no surprise that Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers, Celtic and Leeds United are among the clubs reported to be interested in the Motherwell winger.
According to a report in The Scottish Sun last month, Rangers, Celtic, Middlesbrough and Hull City are interested in signing Hastie in the summer transfer window when his current contract with Motherwell runs out.
The Daily Record claimed in early February that Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City have watched the youngster in action this season.
Hastie, though, seems to be on his way to Rangers. Last week, The Scottish Sun claimed that the Gers are poised to sign a pre-contract agreement with the 19-year-old, who will reportedly put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Rangers.
Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd, now at Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock, has given his take on Hastie’s potential move to the Ibrox club on a free transfer in the summer of 2019.

Boyd wrote about Hastie in The Scottish Sun: “I wish the boy well after agreeing a deal to move to Ibrox in the summer. Everyone wins out of this transfer.
“Motherwell make good money on a youngster they have trained for the past number of years and hopefully that allows them to reinvest the cash and doesn’t go to former directors no longer at the club.
“Rangers get one of the rising stars of the league. And Hastie himself gets an opportunity he could only dream of this time last year.”
