Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic do not have a good away form in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Of the nine Scottish Premiership matches Celtic have played away from Celtic Park so far this season, the Glasgow giants have won three, lost three and drawn three.
Former Rangers striker Boyd, who is now at Kilmarnock, has suggested that one reason why the Hoops are struggling away from home is manager Rodgers making too many changes to his team.
Boyd said on The Monday Night Club show on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday evening (8:55pm, December 17, 2018) regarding Celtic’s away form: “I think Brendan has been chopping and changing his team quite a bit away from home.
“Maybe when Celtic are at home, they will get away with it, but away from home there are a lot of good teams in the league, especially when Celtic and Rangers come to your home ground, you always want to win, you always want to put on a performance, and I think that has been the case this season.”
Need for improvement
Celtic have a strong record at home, but it is clear that the Glasgow giants need to improve their away form.
Given the players that the Hoops have and the pedigree of manager Rodgers, Celtic are bound to get better away from Celtic Park in the coming weeks and months.
The Bhoys are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 33 points from 16 matches, just a point behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Rangers, who have played 17 games.
