West Ham United should sign one of Belgium’s most exciting youngsters according, to Cheikhou Kouyaté.
During an exclusive interview with Belgian media outlet DH, West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyaté sung the praises of Anderlecht youngster Youri Tielemans, and spoke of his desire for the Hammers to sign the talented teenager.
The 19-year-old midfielder is one of the hottest properties in Europe, and has been linked with a move to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich (Daily Star).

And the 26-year-old Senegal international is hoping that the Hammers can convince Tielemans to moe to East London, telling DH how highly he rates the Anderlecht prodigy:
“He’s my boy. Youri, I loved him from the moment he started training with the first-team. I was very proud when I saw him with the Belgium shirt on his back. He’ll be in the Premier League soon, too. I just hope for one thing: that it’s in the same team as me because I don’t want to tackle him. On a serious note, he’s developed some more this season, and he’s really, really good.”

In harsh reality, West Ham need to strengthen in various different areas of the pitch, but central midfield seems to be an area that goes under the radar.
Mark Noble’s influence on the side seems to be deteriorating with age, and the addition of a younger player, with a wonderful range of passing, such as Tielemans, will be a must for the Hammers over the next year or so.
With so many prestigious clubs interested in his signature, however, tempting him into a move to the Olympic Stadium will be easier said than done.
