Liverpool staff think that Kostas Tsimikas will be ‘much better equipped’ to ease the burden on Andy Robertson this season, according to The Athletic.
It is being reported this morning that there ‘a belief among the staff’ at Liverpool that Greece international left-back Tsimikas is now in a better position to play his part for the Reds.
Linked away
Interestingly, Tsimikas has been linked with a move away from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported this week that Napoli are interested in signing Tsimikas from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old Greece international left-back himself is open to a move to the Serie A club.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Liverpool stay for Kostas Tsimikas?
Tsimikas had injury problems last season and could not really adapt to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s system.
However, it seems that the Liverpool coaching staff do have faith in the left-back.
Now, of course, Robertson will be the first-choice left-back this season.
However, the Scotland international will need rest from time to time, and there could be injury problems as well.
Tsimikas will have his role to play this season.
The left-back played six minutes in the Premier League and 131 minutes in the Champions League last season.
